Current Exciting Projects

Frans recently illustrated a recipe book for the Franschhoek restaurant, Bread & Wine, which is now available at selected shops. A Dutch show, PUUR, invited Frans to feature as the main artist in September this year. His artwork will also be used for the media campaign to promote the show and one of his specially commissioned paintings will be presented to the Commissioner of the Queen at the show. A Dutch company is in the process of registering a website domain, www.vespaghetti.eu, and will be promoting and producing products with the distinctive culinary branding in Europe.

Latest Products

The printed products of Frans Groenewald, creator of quirky culinary characters Basil and Rosemary, are selling successfully countrywide, and are now in Holland and Sydney, Australia. This has lead to a fast–growing demand for his originals and special commissions. In the light of this very fortunate situation, he has decided to close his current public space, The Culinary Art Gallery in Stellenbosch, and to focus on painting in the studio environment. He has relocated to Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West, where he was offered a wonderful studio space and the chance to get involved in other exciting projects.
